Nike couldn’t pass up this iconic opportunity to bring a classic to reality…

A total of $6 million was raised from the sales of Nike’s limited edition shoe, and all the proceeds went to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. Nike even filed a patent for a self-tying shoe lace that we will hopefully see in the future. And if Nike’s attempt isn’t enough to satisfy your idea of a successful movie prediction, San Francisco-based inventor Blake Bevin created her own self-tying shoe laces. She says that her invention should ‘tide you over until Nike comes out with something more polished.’
